"My husband's grandparents were the first to use Iodex Topical Antiseptic Ointment. They passed it on to their children (one being my husband's mother). She passed it on to my husband & I, and we passed it to our children, and then to our grandchildren. Now our great-grandchildren are having it used on them. "Iodex is a mainstay in my medicine chest, as well as, in the medicine chest of every member of our family (including, by choice, the 20-40 year old ‘kids’). It’s our ‘go to’. "I recently had knee replacement surgery and was bruised very badly around my ankle and calf of my leg. I immediately went to my 20 year old container of Iodex. I had very little left in it. I grew up with Iodex for every cut, scratch or burn. By the time my grandchildren arrived the bottle was almost depleted. I had tried to get it from the large drug retailers but no they didn't have it. In discussing this problem with our office assistant (whose husband like me had grown up depending on it), she advised that I could order it. Eureka, I went on line and there it was. I ordered it and even got two bottles, one of which I gave to the daughter (mother of the grandchildren who I had wanted it for). Great product. Thank you!!

Warnings

When using this product, do not apply to large areas of the body; do not use tight or air-excluding bandage; do not get into eyes or mucous membranes. Stop use and ask doctor if: the redness, irritation, swelling or pain persists or gets worse; an infection occurs; the condition does not improve within 7 days. Keep out of reach of children.
